Principal's Post

Dear Charger Parents and Families,

I am always so impressed with our amazing staff and students and how they are able to jump right back into the flow of school - especially after 3 days of testing! Their commitment, determination, and grit is noticed throughout the school day. As second semester activities pick back up, we are confident that our Chargers will continue their growth in the daily process of learning.

As always, thank you for the encouragement that each of you provide our Chargers as they come to school full of confidence and support to succeed. On the same note, thank you for the positive encouragement that I see given daily to our teachers and support staff!

Tomorrow we do not have school is observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. School will resume on Tuesday, January 21 unless HISD changes the schedule due to the forecasted winter storm.

Connecting with you is important to us and we are here for you:

See you soon!

Lindsey Vela, Principal
HISD West Division Middle School Principal of the Year
