We can't thank you enough for the generous donations we've received so far during this year’s Charger Commitment Campaign.  

We rely on the support of our Pin Oak families to help our PTO fund all the "extras" that make POMS the great school it is! 

Congratulations again to both 6th & 7th grade for winning the grade-level competition with an unprecedented tie! The popsicle party will take place before the end of the semester - stay tuned for details.

Doors will open at 6:15 AM and will be shut at 6:30 AM. Please have your ride drop you off in front of the school at the gate nearest the gym.

There will be a baseball interest meeting for all students interested in trying out for the 2024-25 baseball team. The student-only meeting will take place on Thursday from 4 - 4:30 PM in B126.

If you cannot attend the meeting, please see Coach Fujiwara before or after the meeting date. There will be a Baseball form to be completed and returned before tryouts.

Kona Ice will be at POMS after school on Friday, November 1. The Kona Ice truck will be parked on Glenmont Street by the crosswalk.

Please bring cash to purchase a treat. A cup of shaved ice is $4, $6, or $7 each.

For every classic cone sold this October, Gelato Rossa will donate $1 back to Pin Oak and other participating schools. The school with the most sales will win a coupon for free gelato for every student and staff member at the school! Stop by for a cone from 12-10 PM, Tuesday to Sunday.

Pin Oak's annual Color Run is returning on Friday, November 15, and your student will not want to be left out! 

Color Run is a fun run style event where students can leave class to hang out, listen to music, visit the Kona Ice truck, run or walk around the track, and throw color on each other in the Post Run Color Party. There are several options to participate:

• Color Throwers ($50) throw color (included) on Runners/Walkers during the run. A t-shirt is included with registration. (Only 15 spots available per grade.)
• Runners/Walkers ($25) will run or walk 1 mile as Color Throwers bombard you with color. A t-shirt is included with registration.
• Spectators ($5) cheer on Runners/Walkers from the bleachers and can participate in the Post Run Color Party. A t-shirt is NOT included.
• After the run, join your friends in the middle of the field for a Post Run Color Party. Purchase color bags (sold separately for all participants) to throw on your friends. Your student must be a Color Thrower, Runner/Walker or Spectator to participate in the Post Run Color Party.

Tickets:Click here to purchase your ticket. Online sales end on Sunday, November 10. We will be selling tickets during lunch the week of November 11 on Monday - Wednesday.

Sponsor a Participant: If you'd like to make a donation to cover the cost of additional Pin Oak students to attend Color Run, please do so on the order form.

Volunteers:We need parent volunteers to sell tickets at school and help support the event on November 15th. All volunteers must be VIPS-approved.

The school store is open for students during lunch. We have some new uniform items as well as novelty items for sale. The online school store is also open for your uniform needs. You will be notified when your order is ready for pick up and your student may pick up the items during lunch.

We still have some volunteer shifts available for the school store. Please sign up for the group (A or B)/day(s) that works best for you (shifts are every other week). All volunteers are required to be VIPS approved.

With so many exciting events happening at Pin Oak throughout the school year, we are not always able to have a student photographer present to take photos. Therefore, we are asking parents who attend POMS events and take photos to share their best images with us so we can include them in our school yearbook.
