We can't thank you enough for your generous donations during the first week of our Charger Commitment Campaign. It's a wonderful start on the way to a great finish!

Your financial support is sincerely appreciated. The money you give is used this year for our current students. We are halfway through the 2nd six weeks, and POMS already has additional needs, and we know that more will pop up during the year.

Join us on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 5:30 PM in the POMS Cafeteria for an interest meeting to learn about the swim team. 

• Register your student on RegisterMyAthlete before the meeting. It really makes things easier on our coaches.
• Students need to be able to swim already  - this is not lessons. 
• Tryouts are just to make sure that they will be able to complete a 50 meter freestyle in 1 minute. 
• We welcome club swimmers! 

We really want to beat another middle school who shall be nameless, so please come out and join the team.

If you plan to attend the meeting in person, please make sure to arrive at least 15-20 minutes ahead of time to get checked in at the front office with your driver's license.

Pin Oak Middle School is pleased to announce the 2024-2025 tour dates! Parents interested in learning more about our outstanding programs are invited to join us for one of our guided tours. Due to limited space, pre-registration is required. Don’t miss the opportunity to explore all that Pin Oak has to offer - secure your spot today!

Pin Oak will be hosting an HISD School Choice High School Magnet recruitment fair in the MPR on November 4th from 10:30 - 11:30 AM for 8th graders only. Students will talk to representatives from various schools and learn more about available magnet programs throughout HISD.

The school store is open for students during lunch. We have some new uniform items as well as novelty items for sale. The online school store is also open for your uniform needs. You will be notified when your order is ready for pick up and your student may pick up the items during lunch.

We still have some volunteer shifts available for the school store. Please sign up for the group (A or B)/day(s) that works best for you (shifts are every other week). All volunteers are required to be VIPS approved.

We are kicking off Dungeons & Dragons at Pin Oak this fall:

• We will meet two Wednesdays per month from 4:00 - 5:30 PM. 
• Our meetings will take place in the Pin Oak library

Parents can fill out this form to indicate their interest in their student participating.

The club welcomes players of all experience levels who have an enthusiasm for tabletop roleplaying games. We ask that players draft an origin story for a character they might want to play, and tell us why they are excited about playing Dungeons and Dragons.

Join us for a day of fun and learn a Pom, Hip-Hop or Advanced Dance routine to perform for family and friends at the end of the clinic!

No dance experience is required. All money raised will help our Bellaire Belles pay for uniforms, camps, and spring competitions.

• Date: Saturday, October 19, 2024, 9 AM - 12 PM
• Cost: $40 in advance and $45 at the door/registrations received after deadline
• Includes: Belles Dance Clinic T-Shirt (not guaranteed for walk-ins), snack and certificate

With so many exciting events happening at Pin Oak throughout the school year, we are not always able to have a student photographer present to take photos. Therefore, we are asking parents who attend POMS events and take photos to share their best images with us so we can include them in our school yearbook.
