Join us for our first PTO General Meeting of the school year to learn about upcoming events and meet our amazing Assistant Principals.

When? Tuesday, August 27, 9 - 10 AM

Where? Parents have two options to attend

• In person in the POMS library
• Via Microsoft Teams

If you plan to attend the meeting in person, please make sure to arrive at least 15-20 minutes ahead of time to get checked in at the front office with your driver's license.

Parent volunteers allow us to open the school store during our students' lunch period each day. It's also a great way to meet other parents and interact with students. 

Signups are for the 2024-2025 school year. In order to open the store, we require at least 2 people onsite at all times. Please sign up for the group (A or B)/day(s) that works best for you (shifts are every other week).

All NEW store volunteers are required to attend an orientation session:

• August 28 from 9 - 10 AM
• August 29 from 9 - 10 AM

All school volunteers are required to be VIPS approved.

Is your daughter interested in playing club lacrosse for Pin Oak? If so, we invite you to our parent information meeting on Monday, August 26 from 5:30 - 6:30 PM at the West University Scout House (6108 Edloe St).

Please bring a hard copy of your physical evaluation form to the meeting. We will discuss the practice and tournament schedule, fees, and uniform purchases.

The online school store is open for your uniform needs. You will be notified of when/where to pick up your order once it has been fulfilled.

PE uniforms and Strength & Conditioning uniforms (8th Grade only) are available for purchase from the school store. Students will be expected to dress out this week. If your student does not have a PE uniform, they will be allowed to substitute with dress-code appropriate athletic attire until the small sizes have been restocked in the school store.

All volunteers in HISD must register to be VIPS approved. Please register at least two weeks before your scheduled volunteer shift, as it can take three to five business days to complete the background check. Even if you were previously VIPS approved, you will need to register again as your approval expires at the end of each school year.

With so many exciting events happening at Pin Oak throughout the school year, we are not always able to have a student photographer present to take photos. Therefore, we are asking parents who attend POMS events and take photos to share their best images with us so we can include them in our school yearbook.
