The 8th Grade Activities Committee is busy working on the POMS Class of 2021 Celebration Day. Here are some important updates:

8th Grade Slideshow 

Thank you to all students who have submitted their photo for the slideshow! We have received photos from over 200 students and are proceeding with plans to showcase them in the slideshow. However, we want to be able to show off every 8th grader, so we have extended the photo submission deadline to Friday, May 14th. If you do not have a shirt or sign representing where you are going to school in the fall, no need to sit out of the show… as long as we know where you are going to school, we can get that school logo on your photo! Please send us your photo (include your name and house) by emailing it to 8thgradeactivities@pinoakpto.org or texting it to (713) 443-4808.

8th Grade Celebration Day

(Friday, June 4th, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m)

We will have a socially-distanced Celebration Day outside with treats, food, games, and fun! Arrive at 9 a.m. for some sweet breakfast bites, enjoy performances from POMS Fine Arts, socially-distanced games and fun, lunch from Fuddruckers, Kona Ice and more!

8th Grade Donation Request

We would like to add some extra excitement for the students at the POMS Class of 2021 Celebration Day by raffling off gift cards and giving away prizes. If you are able to donate funds to help purchase gift cards to give to the students, please fill out this form:

Lamar Women's Lacrosse program will host a middle school lacrosse clinic on Saturday, May 22nd from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to support young girls' exposure and skill to this great game!

The clinic will offer players from all ability levels, fundamentals, fast paced action, and of course a fun atmosphere! This also provides us a great opportunity to recruit girls to our strong program!

Order your Charger polos, sweatshirts & spirit shirts through the POMS Online School Store! Yard signs, car magnets and umbrellas are now also available for order!

To order, log into your Membership Toolkit account (the same way you access school directory) or create a new account if you don't already have one. You can pay for your items through PayPal or with a credit/debit card.

Once you have purchased your items, you will be contacted by the school store volunteers regarding picking up the items.

Due to COVID restrictions, the physical store at school will remain closed until further notice.

Thank you for supporting POMS!

Students must wear our school colors each day. They can wear a polo, spirit shirt, t-shirt, or sweatshirt in grey, white, or royal blue. This is for supervision and safety reasons since students will be outside. All pants/shorts must be school appropriate length.

Just a reminder that due to COVID-19 safety protocols, the front office is unable to accept deliveries for students. This includes parents dropping off lunches, instruments, etc. Thank you for your help in keeping our campus safe and healthy!

Our teachers are being diligent with cleaning the desks and work areas. If you would like to help us keep our campus safe and healthy by purchasing additional cleaning products, please see our Amazon Wish List. All items will be shipped directly to the school. Thank you!
