Principal's Post

Dear Charger Parents and Families,

I hope everyone has had a chance to relax and enjoy some quality time with family and friends over the holiday break. Happy New Year!

We will kick off the start of the second semester and the fourth six weeks when students return on Tuesday.

We would also like to welcome two new teachers to our campus. Ms. Serrano is joining the World Language Department as a Spanish teacher, and Ms. Parison is joining the Math Department as the new 7th grade math teacher. We are excited to have them join our school community. Ms. Myers has made the decision to step away to be closer to home and her two sons, and we thank her for her time and dedication to our students.

Thank you for continuing to reach out to classroom teachers with questions or for assistance regarding assignments, tests, grades, and overall student performance. Please continue to email your student’s teachers, as they can assist you most quickly with classroom related questions.

Students will receive their third six weeks report card on Friday, January 9th

POMS is closed for students on Monday, January 5 for Teacher Development Day. I'll see students back on campus on Tuesday, January 6.

We had so much fun during our Ugly Sweater Fridays that I wanted to share a few highlights. On our final Friday, all students had the opportunity to pose for pictures and enjoy holiday music during their grade-level lunches. Our 6th graders especially had a great time singing along and spreading holiday cheer.

Connecting with you is important to us and we are here for you.

Thank You for Your Generosity!

To all the families who contributed to the POMS Teacher and Staff Holiday Fund, thank you for helping us spread so much holiday cheer. Your generosity and support are truly appreciated!
