SUBJECT: Charger Chatter

November 30, 2025

Principal's Post

Dear Charger Parents and Families,

I hope everyone enjoyed a restful Thanksgiving break. It is hard to believe it is about to be December. This is a great time to have a little fun as we prepare to close out the first semester and students are encouraged to participate in Ugly Sweater Fridays throughout the month.

Important Academic Updates

Over the next 15 instructional days, we will be completing the 3rd six weeks and the 1st semester before winter break. Progress reports will be sent home this Friday.

All students will take the Social Studies District Summative Assessment on December 16. For students enrolled in high school credit courses, the semester exam schedule is provided below. Semester exams count for 10 percent of the student’s overall semester average. Please contact your student's teacher if you have any questions.

School Attendance

Attendance is very important. TEA requires students to be present in class at least 90 percent of the time. This means a student cannot miss more than seven days in any class during the first semester without being required to make up instructional time. If a student cannot be in attendance for any reason, please email a doctor’s note to Ms. Ibarra, attendance clerk, and contact her if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s attendance. As a reminder, early checkout ends at 3:15 PM so please plan accordingly.

Thank you for your continued support.
