Pin Oak Middle School Ranked Among the Top 1% in Texas!

We are thrilled to share that Pin Oak Middle School has been ranked in thetop 1% of all middle schools in Texas by U.S. News & World Report for the 2026 school year, marking our third consecutive year receiving this outstanding recognition.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our incredible students, the hard work and talent of our teachers and staff, and the unwavering support of our parents and community. Together, we continue to uphold our tradition of excellence in academics, leadership, and character.

PSAT 8/9 Scores Now Available
PSAT 8/9 scores are now available online. Students and parents can view the scores by logging into (or creating) a College Board account using this link https://studentscores.collegeboard.org/home.

Please note that you will need to create an account if you don’t already have one. The site will ask for basic student and parent information to access the scores.

POMS Color Run is Friday

Online Ticket Sales Close Tonight

The Pin Oak Color Run takes place this Friday, November 14, and students are looking forward to an afternoon of school spirit, energy, and fun on campus. 

Online sales close tonight at 11:59 PM (Sunday, November 9) 

In-person ticket sales will will take place during lunch on     

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week

ONLY: Cash and physical credit card

The Color Run is a fun-run style fundraising event held during the school day. With the purchase of a ticket, students may leave class to hang out, listen to music, visit the treat trucks, run or walk around the track, and join the Post-Run Color Party.

Purchase a spot for your student to be a Color Thrower ($50), Walker/Runner ($25), or Spectator ($5). Color Bags for the Post Run Color Party must be purchased separately. 

Registration for Color Throwers and Runner/Walkers includes a T-shirt, but T-shirt size is not guaranteed. 

Kona Ice and the Ice Cream/Cookie Truck will offer treats ranging from $4 to $8. Students should bring cash or a physical credit card if they would like to purchase a treat.

6th Grade – 1:25 p.m.
7th Grade – 2:25 p.m.
8th Grade – 3:25 p.m.

Are you interested in discovering new opportunities to connect, create, and grow? Pin Oak Middle School offers a variety of clubs for every interest and skill level.

• Gardening Club – Meets Wednesdays from 4:00–5:30 p.m. 

• Crochet Club – Meets Thursdays from 4:15–5:15 p.m. in B House Commons. No experience needed; all levels welcome.

• Dungeons & Dragons Club – Meets biweekly in B126 from 4:00–5:30 p.m. (New members are still welcome to join).

• World Language Clubs – Spanish, German, French, Italian, Latin, and Mandarin clubs meet after school; check the schedule for meeting days and rooms.
