• In person in the POMS library
• Via Microsoft Teams

If you plan to attend the meeting in person, please make sure to arrive at least 15-20 minutes ahead of time to get checked in at the front office with your driver's license.

Help us show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate everything they do for our POMS students!  

Please consider contributing to the end-of-year gift fund.  

Cash gifts will be distributed to all those involved in the education and support of our students including teachers, administrators, maintenance, and support staff - no one is left out! 

We would love to match last year's gift fund, but we are still 30% shy of our goal. There are 117 recipients, and every little bit helps!

School Supplies for the 2024-2025 school year are now on sale! Purchase your student's supplies today and make it easy for yourself when school starts. Packs will be shipped directly to school and distributed during the first week of school.

Be sure to order the pack for the grade your child will be in for the 2024-25 school year! 

Deadline to order your school supplies is July 1.

8th Grade Parent MUST DOs for this week

(All due by FRIDAY):

1. Sign and returnpermission slip for the 8th Grade Field Trip to Splashway! Please ensure your child returns their signed permission slip to their house office this week! (As stated above, students must have completed their NWEA tests and turned in their Chromebooks and library books by May 30 to attend the field trip on May 31.)

2. RSVP for Promotion Ceremonies.

3. Complete the High School Intent to Enroll form. HISD is requiring POMS to collect this data. If you do not complete the form, someone from HISD and/or POMS will call you directly.

Is your child moving on to high school? Has your child outgrown their school uniform clothing? Please consider donating their gently used uniforms to the POMS PTO Used Uniform Sale.

School dress code polos, khakis, jeans, skirts, sweatshirts, and jackets in all sizes can be dropped off in the collection boxes by the library.

The online school store is now closed and will reopen on July 1, 2024. All orders placed starting July 1 will be distributed at Charger Camp in early August. Unworn and unwashed items can be exchanged at Charger Camp.

All volunteers in HISD must register to be VIPS approved. Please register at least two weeks before your scheduled volunteer shift, as it can take three to five business days to complete the background check. Even if you were previously VIPS approved, you will need to register again as your approval expires at the end of each school year.

The POMS PTO uses the Membership Toolkit platform across the board, so you'll need an account to receive the Charger Chatter, shop at the online School Store, join the PTO, and more! It can all be found at pinoakpto.org.

Also, be sure to download the free Membership Toolkit app on the App Store or Google Play, so you'll have the school directory and school calendar with you at all times on your mobile device! You can even sync the PTO calendar to your phone's calendar and opt to receive push notifications for important announcements!
