Pin Oak Students and Parents,
It was great to see some of our students back last week. We will continue to take care of each other by wearing our masks and being respectful of social distances.
I want to take a moment to celebrate our officer, Joe Rodriguez. I've had the opportunity to work with Joe for the past 15 years in the school setting. I've watched him mentor kids, parents, teachers, administrators, and fellow officers. He has a heart for people and changing lives. I've never doubted his commitment to protecting kids - all kids. Joe Rodriguez is retiring from the HISD PD after 23 years on Thursday. He will be missed, but we are excited about his next adventure as a motorcycle escort and guard for Constable Jerry Garcia. Be sure to give him a wave and a special THANK YOU this week. I have no doubt he will continue to be a positive influence to everyone he protects and serves. We are Charger Proud of you, Joe Rodriguez! #ChargeOn
With great respect,
Michelle Shoulders
