Pin Oak Family,

We hope you are doing well and staying safe! We are now in full swing getting Pin Oak ready for our students and the upcoming school year.

Technology Update:

Good news! All of our students will be able to check out a Chromebook for virtual learning. We are offering drive-thru appointments August 25-28. The details and links will be posted on the Pin Oak website Tuesday, August 18th. We are excited that each and every one of our Pin Oak students will be able to log-in, stay connected, and learn with us!

Upcoming Parent & Student Meetings:

We will send an invitation for this meeting, to be held virtually on Microsoft TEAMS, in our next email.

• 6th Grade Students, Parents & Guardians: Tuesday, 8/25 @ 6 p.m.
• 7th & 8th Grade Students, Parents & Guardians: Thursday, 8/27 @ 6 p.m.

During these sessions, you will learn more about what to expect from the school day (the virtual six weeks and beyond), plus I will try to answer a few questions.

2020 Charger Camp:

Our Charger Camp (September 1-3) will be a drive-thru event this year. We will pass out schedules, textbooks, school supplies, uniforms (if pre-ordered), student agendas, and yearbooks from last year.

Charger Camp Days

• Tuesday, September 1st: 6th Grade
• Wednesday, September 2nd: 7th Grade
• Thursday, September 3rd: 8th Grade

Charger Camp Schedule

• 8:00 - 10:30 a.m.: House A
• 11:00 - 1:30 p.m.: House B
• 2:00 - 4:30 p.m.: House C
• 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Virtual TEAMS Orientation! You will receive written instructions for how to connect with us when you pick up your bags that morning. We can't wait to SEE your faces virtually in TEAMS!

School Day "Dress Rehearsal":

• Friday, September 4th

Students will get to visit all 8 classes virtually for short 10 minute sessions, meet their teachers, and make sure all class links/technology work properly.

Our goal is 100% attendance the first day of school - 

Tuesday, September 8th at 8:30 a.m.
