The winter storm's aftermath is still being felt by many in our Pin Oak community. In the spirit of supporting these families, the PTO is raising money to address these needs. Please consider donating to our Winter Storm Relief Fund, with 100% of the proceeds going to directly support Pin Oak students, faculty, and staff who have demonstrated a need for assistance. We are carefully evaluating our options to deliver these funds to those families who have been most heavily impacted. Donations will be accepted through Friday, March 5th.

The Pin Oak Middle School PTO is searching for parent volunteers to fill PTO board and committee chair positions for the 2021-2022 school year. If you are interested in getting involved, please email PTO President Tricia Onufer by Friday, March 12th.

This February marks the 95^th year of the official celebration of Black History Month, a month set aside to acknowledge and honor the work of generations of African Americans who have made a mark on history, and forever changed the American cultural landscape.

Order your Charger polos, sweatshirts & spirit shirts through the POMS Online School Store! Yard signs, car magnets and umbrellas are now also available for order!

To order, log into your Membership Toolkit account (the same way you access school directory) or create a new account if you don't already have one. You can pay for your items through PayPal or with a credit/debit card.

Once you have purchased your items, you will be contacted by the school store volunteers regarding picking up the items.

Due to COVID restrictions, the physical store at school will remain closed until further notice.

Be In the Book: Upload your photos of Pin Oak students to the Balfour ImageShare app (code 115643) with student's name, date, and what's going on in the photo and you'll have a chance to be in the yearbook! We need arts, sports, holidays, trips, birthdays, hobbies, you and your pets, Netflix binging, snow day, what you did with no power or water, how you spent your extra days off...anything! 

School Portraits: If you didn't take a school portrait on campus but still want to be pictured in the yearbook, please upload a portrait photo to the Balfour ImageShare app (code 115643) with student's first and last name. Photo should be vertical, well lit, in focus, and show the student's head and shoulders, student turned slightly to their right, in school appropriate attire against a plain background (if shooting against a wall, stand a few feet away from it to avoid a shadow). Deadline to submit is before spring break starts.

8th Graders: We need photos of you, especially if you are still learning remotely! See "be in the book" above for how to submit your pics.

Course selection for ZONED rising 9th graders opened on January 25, 2021. Course Selection will take place online (Lamar High School Course Selection) and there will be a virtual meeting scheduled for March 4^th, 2021 for families who have questions or need assistance. (Lamar Course Selection Meeting Registration) If you are waiting for acceptance notification from another school, please do not complete the Lamar course selection yet.

Course selection for rising 9th graders with an approved transfer will take place in March and April.

Students must wear our school colors each day. They can wear a polo, spirit shirt, t-shirt, or sweatshirt in grey, white, or royal blue. This is for supervision and safety reasons since students will be outside. All pants/shorts must be school appropriate length.

Just a reminder that due to COVID-19 safety protocols, the front office is unable to accept deliveries for students. This includes parents dropping off lunches, instruments, etc. Thank you for your help in keeping our campus safe and healthy!
